New-Nokia N9 Now Launched

Coolest Gatgets-The new Nokia N9's hardware credentials are without question, and Nokia is making sure its MeeGo operating system is equally well catered for with the introduction of two new apps – Maps and Drive – that introduce a whole new mapping and navigation experience to go with the Nokia N9's stunning hardware.
Nokia Maps for MeeGo features a slick new appearance, and brings with it instant nearby places discovery, public transport routing and full gesture support. Nokia Drive, meanwhile, promises Nokia N9 users the best driving experience to be found outside of a traditional sat nav.
Nokia Maps
For checking out your current location and what it offers – and discovering more about the world around you, Nokia Maps is the Nokia N9's passport to fully featured mapping goodness.
Nokia Drive
If you're travelling by car, meanwhile, Nokia Drive is the perfect navigator on the Nokia N9. Together, Nokia Maps and Nokia Drive are the perfect window on the world for the Nokia N9.

Nokia has finally taken the wraps off the successor to its much-troubled N8 mobile phone, and there's no debating it's a gorgeous piece of hardware.
It's got a polycarb unibody with a subtly curved Gorilla Glass screen, some pretty sweet specs, talks to both of our contrary networks over the 850 and 900MHz bands and has nifty tricks like NFC (near field communication) - which allows merely bumping a Nokia Bluetooth headset on the back to pair the two devices. MeeGo is the mobile operating system Nokia should have adopted ages ago, rather than persevering with its clunky, much-maligned Symbian software.
No other phones are running the MeeGo system, so the only thing that will spur useful development of apps - which are a major drawcard for smartphone buyers - is more devices.
Adapting other hardware to run MeeGo won't be a big task for skilled developers - but that's not an approach for mainstream buyers.

The long awaited Nokia N9 has finally been launched. Interestingly, Nokia has not let near field communication pass it by as the Nokia N9 comes with an NFC chip.
Other features are an ARM Cortex A8 single-core 1GHz chip, rather than dual-core which is rather interesting. Experts have been waiting expectantly for the Nokia N9 for some time. The company may also be hoping that the N9 will re-launch the company’s revamped MeeGo platform. Will the Nokia N9 do it?
