New IPad Apps for Facebook Unveiled

The app store of iPad will soon feature a native Facebook app, reported the New York Times on 17th June.
Facebook developers and designers have also overhauled the Facebook Chat and Facebook Groups features for the application."
Transcending the features available on the social media network Facebook Website, the app will allow iPad users to shoot and upload photos and videos directly from the iPad's built-in cameras. Facebook, the social utility network, is also reportedly planning on optimizing its web interface.
Apple and Facebook have been at odds in the past. Inside Facebook.com, the blog reports, “ Apple and Facebook have complementary goals here. Apple reportedly plans to feature the Facebook app prominently in the App Store.
The Facebook app launch on ipad also spells the end of third-party domination. The Apple-Facebook alliance is a win-win situation as Inside Facebook.com says, “The Facebook iPhone app is one of the most popular on either Facebook or the Apple App Store app, with a whopping 30.4 million monthly active users and 15.6 million daily active users, according to our AppData service. So a Facebook iPad app would have some catching up to do
There is mounting speculation that a Facebook app for the iPad is imminent. Despite Mark Zuckerberg's assertion that the "iPad isn't mobile," the demand for a Facebook app and the success of alternative Facebook apps for the iPad suggest otherwise.
The iPad is mobile. Display. Granted, I can pinch and zoom, and resize Facebook to fit the iPad display in the Safari browser, but the Facebook iPhone app just fits the screen, and I would expect the same from a Facebook iPad app. If the rumors are true, we may soon see a Facebook app like this on the iPad.. Photos. Again, the iPad is mobile. As the customer, I want Facebook to recognize the iPad is mobile so I can check in, and if I were the retailer, I would want Facebook to recognize the iPad is mobile so I am not ignoring potential customers with my Facebook Deals.
The enhancements on the site are designed to supplement the iPad apps of Facebook. The recent report follows an earlier report which indicated that Facebook is also developing an HTML 5 application for iOS devices.
The latest iPad app will allow users to perform regular functions on Facebook which include uploading videos and images.
It is designed to enhance the experience of users instead of replacing the current iOS applications of Facebook. The enhancement will convert the iOS-optimized website of Facebook into a mobile platform which allows user to utilize third party applications including iPadapps through Facebook.
